Review Notes Tests were conducted on a Osram ET-Redback transformer. This transformer is not claimed to be compatible with SORAA LED MR16s, see their website for a comprehensive list of compatible transformers. Performance might be better on a compatible transformer but many Australian transformers are missing from the list. Claimed lumen output of 346 lm calculated using manufacturer specified CBCP (Centre Beam Candle Power) of 2320 cd at a beam spread of 25 degrees. Light has very narrow beam and has high frequency flicker. Runs hot but vendor claims their GaN technology allows higher temperatures without higher failure rates. Carries CE and UL (C-US) approval labels. This is generation 1, there is a improved 2nd generation available.
