Who
The LEDBenchmark site has been built by PassMark Software. We are a small company founded in 1998 with offices in Australia and the USA focused on doing performance benchmarking of computers, software and electronic devices. We are a collection of engineers with backgrounds in software engineering, mechatronics, science & economics.
What
Our aim is to measure the characteristics of residential LED lighting and make the details available to the public. With a focus on LED lights that could be used to replace traditional incandescent and halogen lights.
Why
LED lighting is the future. However there was an absence of reliable unbiased technical information. We hope to at least partially fix this.
